Job Practice Nurse, Ulverstone

Patrick Street Clinic is a large medical practice based in Ulverstone with a second site in Penguin, dedicated to delivering excellent patient centred healthcare. With a current team of 9 experienced nurses and a large number of general practitioners, we are committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of our community.

What we are looking for:

• Current registration with AHPRA

• Registered or Enrolled nurse

• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and the healthcare team

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

• Experience in GP an advantage but not necessary, on the job training is available

Tasks and responsibilities:

• Wound care

• ECGs and spirometry

• Assisting Drs in procedures

• Health assessments

• Immunisations and cold chain management

• Ear syringing

• Injections

• Medicals

• Triaging patients

• Onsite sterilisation of equipment

• Stock control

• Assisting with Mirena insertions

• Chronic disease management

• Recalls
