This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with local IT businesses while supporting international IT graduates to gain meaningful, real-world experience.

The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, opening doors with host companies and making things happen. You will be responsible for growing and managing a pipeline of IT host companies while supporting internship placements to ensure positive outcomes for students and industry partners.You will work closely with the COO, Marketing, Placement and Internship teams to ensure host companies meet compliance requirements and that students are placed successfully and on time.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively source, engage and onboard new IT host companies across Hobart and TasmaniaBuild strong relationships with business owners and hiring managersPromote QIBA and the Professional Year Program within the local IT communitySupport internship placements and ensure host company suitability and complianceAttend and support networking events, job fairs and industry engagement activitiesManage host company data and reporting through internal systemsWork collaboratively with internal teams to meet placement deadlines and KPIs
About You
Some experience contacting and engaging host companies or industry partnersA genuine passion for IT, graduates and early career developmentStrong communication and relationship building skillsConfidence initiating conversations with businesses and stakeholdersResults focused with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a teamExperience in business development, recruitment, placements or student services is highly regarded
