About the Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled CNC Operator / Programmer with experience in the joinery or cabinetry industry. Working within a busy production team, you'll be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery to produce custom joinery components to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program and operate CNC machinery (e.g. Biesse, Homag, or similar) to produce high-quality components.
- Read and interpret CAD drawings and job sheets to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare and load materials, tools, and fixtures efficiently.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure components meet production standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machines to minimise downtime.
- Collaborate closely with the production and design teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Proven experience operating and programming CNC machines in a joinery, cabinetmaking, or manufacturing environment.
- Competent in using CNC software such as BiesseWorks, EnRoute, or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, proactive, and safety-conscious.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
