We are currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join a Community, Mental Health and Wellbeing team in North West Tasmania, working within Alcohol and Other Drug services.
This role will see you supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use, delivering evidence based care within a community setting. You will be part of a team that focuses on long term outcomes, connection and recovery.
Key responsibilities include
- Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualised care plans
- Providing therapeutic support and counselling
- Supporting clients through withdrawal and ongoing recovery
- Working collaboratively with families, community services and healthcare professionals
- Facilitating group programs and education sessions
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and contributing to case conferences
- Supporting pharmacotherapy and harm minimisation strategies
To be considered, you will have
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Experience in mental health, alcohol and other drugs or community health preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- An understanding of trauma informed care
- Current drivers licence desirable
- Post graduate qualifications in AOD, or working towards, will be highly regarded
