Wintringham is a specialised welfare company that provides housing and care to elderly, frail men and women who are homeless or at risk of homelessness The sole motivating philosophy at Wintringham is that of social justice. We believe that all elderly people, regardless of poverty or lifestyle, have the right to live an independent and dignified life.

Aged care

The site accommodates and cares for 40 older Tasmanians aged 50 years and over who are experiencing or vulnerable to homelessness, or are financially disadvantaged.

The home offers a mix of low care and high care support, meaning it can cater to varying levels of need, as residents age in place.

We provide a safe, flexible, and caring family-style environment that allows residents to maintain their chosen lifestyles, hobbies and activities, and to be as independent as they would like.
